Great Job to all those individuals that take the time an effort to keep these reunions going, not an easy job. Looks like I missed all the fun, I will make every attempt to make it to the next one. Congratulations to the reunion staff for a job well done. I'll encourage a few other old-timers I know to get to the next one. We have two daughters; one a teacher in Jacksonville, the other a senior at UF (co-captain of the soccer team). My wife is a retired teacher and I have a psychology practice here at the beaches. I enjoyed seeing the 'then & now' pictures but, of course, was not expecting to see acknowledgment of those who are deceased. My thoughts and prayers go to them and their families even though their passing may have been some time ago.
It's amazing how we've all changed and, no doubt, what we've lived through. I hope we're including the things we each want to look back and see in our lives and letting go of the things we no longer want or need to carry. I really had no idea who I was in high school and for some years afterward. Today I am content with who I am and what my life is about. It's been a long strange trip. About a year ago, I contacted my old friend, Greg Czerepak, after many years by googling. Through the reunion site, I recently had a long talk with Ken Trotter, and now I think about all the years with Ken Lillquist, Ed Knudson and many others (and an old girlfriend). Most of us were critical observers of the social scene (translated -- out-crowd), and the idea of meeting all these classmates again raises some old anxieties. Will a certain party still want to kick my butt? Will anyone remember me?
I'm not sure I can make it, but I wanted to say hello to all. What a trip it's been.

Like many of you have expressed I too can't believe it has been 40 Years since we roamed the halls of Largo High. I have been an invited guest speaker in the school several times over the years and I can tell you it still looks exactly the same inside as it did when we were there. Some of us have changed beyond recoginition but we have earned all the grey hairs and wrinkles! It is going to be great seeing you and hearing all about your lives.

Fooorrrtttyyy (?) years?! It's hard to fathom. My math used to be good, but I question my ability to think that high any more. I have never made a reunion, having always been gone with the Marines since leaving LHS. Graduated from Columbia while in the Corps and did get close to Largo again for four years while recruiting in Sarasota. Clearwater is still home, Largo is still my school, and I will feel truly blessed to see any of you at the reunion. I was a skinny little guy in the band who barely made it in the Corps because of my 120 pounds(!), but God has been good. I have a beautiful wife (Vicki), two super sons (both deputies with Pinellas County - Kevin & Mitchell Grissinger), and three wonderful daughters, two of whom are married (one teaches & one's a mom-to-be next month), and the third hoping to be a missionary. I retired from the Marines in '91, and taught at Florida Community College in Jacksonville (FCCJ) for five years before my brother, my wife, sister-in-law and I started our own business, and I retired from that last July. I am working on a 1964 Comet Cyclone like in our year book, except this one is a street rod, and I still have a love for my Harley's. I have plenty of time for tinkering with them. My wife will probably work four or five more years, and then we will travel, ride, and play with grandkids more. Nuff said. Really, really looking forward to seeing so many- I knew more of you than you of me, but hopefully time will allow us to catch up on decades (?)of our lives. Please e-mail, call or write. Hello Everyone,
I am really looking forward to this September 2005 Reunion. It will be my first as I must have been one of the missing for all the past gatherings of the Class of 1965. We moved out of state back in 1970 and my parents have since past away so my ties to the area have kind of vanished. My husband John graduated from Dunedin in 1964 so we have been back pretty regularly every five years or so for his reunions. Plus he does still have family in Clearwater.
Not exactly sure what to include in this comment section. But I do believe after looking at the "Then & Now" section of this website I really will be needing my year book to put faces with names at the Saturday night event. Can we please have "Then" picture name tags?
As a quick update on my life since LHS -- I am happily married 36 years to the same great guy. We now live in Skokie, IL but have spent time in Clemson, SC (go Clemson Tigers), State College, PA (go Nittney Lions), Michigan (boring work) and for the past 25 years here in Skokie where we have worked, played & raised our two beautiful daughters who look nothing like John or me. Our daughters came into our lives & hearts on July 11, 1986 when they arrived from Seoul, South Korea -- talk about instant family. They are biological sisters we adopted at ages 3 & 6 -- who are now 23 & 25 -- time sure flys by when you are having fun -- well most of the time! What an amazing adventure it was & continues to be.
Sadly, John and I are still in the work force -- got to pay those bills -- but are looking forward to retiring and heading back south within the next five to ten years. I work as a financial analyst for DeVry University at the corporate office in Oakbrook Terrace, IL and John is an engineering manager at Rauland-Borg in their healthcare division here in Skokie.

Well, I'm glad to finally hear from classmates; thanks Mike. This is the first reunion I've heard about since graduation. (But if I'm still 39 how can we be celebrating our 40th? miracle of science, I guess.) Apparently there is a rumor I moved to Colorado (I wish), but truth is I've been living in Florida since '65 -the last 25 in Vero Beach (where two hurricanes hit within 3 weeks.)
